Director Supplier Quality
LaddersFor our client, we are seeking a Director Supplier Quality to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will lead supplier quality strategy and execution across a complex aerospace environment, with a strong focus on supplier qualification, audits, and performance improvement. The Director will partner closely with Procurement, Engineering, and operations teams to strengthen supply chain reliability and reduce quality risk. This is a hands-on leadership role that will guide a team responsible for qualifying suppliers, resolving nonconformances, and supporting new product introduction. Location: Huntsville, AL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $203,165 – $284,430 annually Responsibilities Develop and implement supplier quality management strategies aligned with business goals Lead a team responsible for supplier qualification, audits, and performance monitoring Establish supplier qualification and approval processes, including FAI and PPAP Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier-related nonconformances Manage supplier scorecards and key performance indicators to improve quality performance Partner with Procurement and Engineering to assess and mitigate supply chain risks Support new product introduction by qualifying suppliers for new materials, components, and processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field 10+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or a related discipline 5+ years of people management experience Experience leading supplier audits and qualification activities Proficiency with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, APQP, SPC, and MSA Strong knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality management system standards Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options Paid parental leave and disability insurance 401(k) with company match up to 5% Education Support Program for ongoing learning Stock options for regular employees Up to four weeks of Paid Time Off and 14 company-paid holidays Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
