Job Description Location: New York, NY / Boston , MA / Remote What You Will Get To D o SS&C is already one of the largest global providers of technology and operational solutions for the asset management industry. We are expanding our outsourced operations and technology offerings for U.S. asset managers and we are looking for a Director, Product Management to help build these solutions. This is a builder's role. You will own the strategy for new outsourced operations and technology products serving asset managers, and you'll do the hands-on work to bring them to market: talking to clients, sizing the competitive landscape, shaping the operating model, setting pricing, and driving commercialization. This is not a role where you direct a large team from a distance — you'll roll up your sleeves and move things forward yourself, partnering across the organization to turn ideas into revenue-generating services. You will focus on products supporting Mutual Funds, Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), Collective Investment Trusts (CITs), and related investment vehicles — helping asset managers improve efficiency, scalability, and operational performance. Set pricing, service tiers, and commercialization plans, and build the business case for investment. Drive products from concept to launch, collaborating with Technology and Operations to turn requirements into scalable, automated services. Support revenue — contribute to sales efforts, client presentations, strategic pursuits, and RFPs as the product expert in the room. Be the voice of the market — gather client and prospect feedback continuously and feed it back into the roadmap. Work across the organization — Product, Operations, Technology, Sales, Relationship Management, and Executive Leadership — to deliver outcomes. Act as subject-matter expert on outsourced investment operations, operating models, and the competitive landscape. What You Brin g Extensive product management experience building and commercializing B2B products or services — ideally in asset servicing, FinTech, or outsourced operations for asset managers. Ideally, you have taken offerings from concept to market, not just managed an existing roadmap. Strong fluency in investment operations across Mutual Funds, SMAs, CITs, and related vehicles — enough to design credible operating models and earn the trust of sophisticated clients. Deep, hands-on operations experience is a strong plus. A builder’s track record — you have created new products, services, or capabilities from the ground up and delivered measurable commercial results. Commercial instinct — pricing, value proposition, and business-case development come naturally to you. Self-starter, get-it-done mentality — comfortable doing the primary research, analysis, and hands-on work yourself, not delegating it away. Excellent communication and stakeholder skills — you can influence executives, win over clients, and align cross-functional partners without direct autho…
