We are seeking a results-driven Director of Operations to lead and optimize day-to-day operations across purchasing, production, fulfillment, customer service support, inventory management, vendor relations, and process improvement initiatives. Position Summary The Director of Operations will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of customer orders from purchase through delivery while driving operational improvements that enhance profitability, scalability, and customer satisfaction. This position requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, building accountability, improving processes, and leading teams to exceptional performance. Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership Lead all operational functions including purchasing, production coordination, warehousing, fulfillment, logistics, and inventory management. Establish operational goals, KPIs, and accountability measures across departments. Develop and implement processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions proactively. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop operational team members. Establish clear performance expectations and accountability standards. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and development conversations. Foster a culture of ownership, urgency, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Customer & Vendor Management Partner with sales and account management teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences. Monitor order flow and resolve escalated customer service issues. Develop strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Negotiate favorable pricing, service levels, and operational agreements. Inventory & Fulfillment Oversee inventory planning, control, and reporting. Ensure accurate inventory counts and proper warehouse management. Improve shipping, receiving, and fulfillment processes. Monitor freight costs and delivery performance. Financial & Business Performance Manage departmental budgets and operational expenses. Analyze operational metrics and profitability drivers. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process efficiencies. Deliver regular reporting on operational performance and strategic initiatives. Process Improvement Champion continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization. Leverage technology and automation opportunities to improve efficiency. Create and maintain documented standard operating procedures. Lead cross-functional projects that enhance operational effectiveness. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent operational leadership experience. 5+ years of operations management experience Proven leadership experience managing multiple functions and teams. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience developing KPIs and managing performance against goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management systems. Preferred Experience in promotional products, apparel decoration, print, e-commerce fulfillment, distribution, manufacturing, or branded merchandise industries. Experience with inventory management systems and ERP platforms. Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement experience. Purchasing and vendor management experience.
