Position Overview

We are seeking a highly capable, tech-savvy Director of Operations to take full ownership of the operations of a hospitality property currently transitioning away from third-party management.

This is not a traditional operations role. You will assume responsibility for virtually every aspect of the business, including reservations, guest experience, revenue management, staffing, vendor relationships, property operations, and system implementation.

The ideal candidate is a strong operator who thrives on accountability, understands hospitality technology, and can build structure where it doesn't exist.

This position offers a unique growth path. After successfully taking over and optimizing motel operations, the role is expected to expand into overseeing the management of the entire building and additional real estate assets.

Key Responsibilities

Hospitality Operations

  • Oversee all day-to-day motel operations.
  • Manage reservations, occupancy, guest communications, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure exceptional service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Lead front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and support teams.

Technology & Revenue Management

  • Manage and optimize bookings across platforms including Airbnb, Booking.com, and Expedia Group.
  • Utilize property management systems (PMS), channel managers, and booking software.
  • Monitor occupancy, pricing, and revenue performance.
  • Implement strategies to maximize profitability and occupancy rates.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage staff.
  • Establish accountability, performance metrics, and operating procedures.
  • Create a culture of ownership and excellence.

Property & Vendor Management

  • Oversee maintenance operations and property upkeep.
  • Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards.

Systems & Process Development

  • Build and implement scalable operational systems.
  • Develop reporting structures and KPIs.
  • Create efficient workflows and operational controls.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hospitality, motel, hotel, property management, or operations leadership experience.
  • MUST be highly tech-savvy.
  • MUST have hands-on experience managing online booking platforms and hospitality software.
  • Strong understanding of occupancy management, revenue optimization, and guest relations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational performance.
  • Strong operational mindset with the ability to build, implement, and scale systems.
  • Highly organized, accountable, and results-driven.
  • Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on.
