Director of Operations
PMX ProMaximaPosition Overview PMX ProMaxima is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to help drive operational execution, planning, project management, product management, and financial performance across our organization. This is a highly cross-functional leadership position requiring a strong combination of manufacturing knowledge, project management, product management, financial understanding, and business planning . The Director of Operations will work closely with Manufacturing, Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure priorities are aligned, projects remain on track, operational challenges are identified early, and customer commitments are met. This position will not directly manage the daily manufacturing floor or independently develop the production schedule . Instead, the Director of Operations will work closely with manufacturing leadership to help manage the production plan, understand capacity and constraints, establish priorities, and ensure the rest of the organization is aligned with manufacturing requirements. Key Responsibilities Operational Management & Manufacturing Coordination Work closely with manufacturing leadership to support execution of the production plan. Help manage production priorities based on customer commitments, material availability, capacity, and business needs. Maintain visibility into production status, constraints, delays, and upcoming requirements. Coordinate across departments to resolve issues affecting production or customer delivery. Help identify operational bottlenecks and facilitate solutions. Track operational performance and establish clear accountability for commitments. Support continuous improvement initiatives involving workflow, efficiency, cost, quality, and on-time delivery. Project Management Lead cross-functional projects from planning through completion. Establish project timelines, milestones, responsibilities, and accountability. Coordinate activities between Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, and Customer Service. Maintain clear visibility into open projects and customer commitments. Identify risks and delays early and coordinate corrective action. Ensure teams have clear priorities and understand what must happen next to keep projects moving. Product Management Help manage new and existing products throughout their lifecycle. Coordinate between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance on product initiatives. Assist with new product development, product launches, sourcing decisions, and manufacturing readiness. Evaluate product costs, margins, manufacturability, sourcing requirements, and operational impact. Help prioritize product development initiatives based on customer demand, financial opportunity, and organizational resources. Financial & Business Management Understand the financial impact of operational decisions. Work closely with Finance to monitor product costs, margins, labor, materials, inventory, freight, and other operational expenses. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial planning. Analyze operational variances and identify opportunities for improved profitability. Evaluate projects and operational initiatives from both an execution and financial perspective. Use financial and operational data to support recommendations to executive leadership. Planning & Forecasting Help develop short- and long-term operational plans based on sales forecasts, backlog, capacity, inventory, staffing, and business priorities. Work with manufacturing leadership to align operational priorities with the production schedule. Help translate sales forecasts and customer demand into actionable operational plans. Support capacity planning and identify future labor, equipment, inventory, and resource requirements.
