Director of Blueberry Supply Chain & Commercial Operations

Position Overview Oasis Farms, Inc. is seeking an accomplished, commercially focused leader to oversee supply chain strategy and business performance for its post-harvest blueberry operations. This senior-level position is responsible for aligning seasonal harvest supply with customer demand, strengthening customer and processor relationships, coordinating cross-functional operations, and driving profitable division performance. The Director will establish priorities and accountability across commercial planning, packing, quality, inventory, logistics, and financial management, while facility supervisors oversee day-to-day packing line execution. Key Responsibilities Commercial Strategy & Customer Relationships: Develop annual and seasonal plans for fresh and processing markets; manage relationships with sales companies, customers, and processors; negotiate commercial terms within authorized limits; and identify markets for surplus fruit. Supply, Demand & Sales Planning: Develop and update weekly supply-and-demand forecasts by variety and harvest period, incorporating expected quality, packout, available inventory, production capacity, packaging requirements, and customer commitments. Order Fulfillment & Fruit Allocation: Coordinate customer orders and fruit allocation to optimize product value, delivery timing, packaging, and service. Verify available capacity, materials, storage, and transportation before commitments are finalized. Supply Chain & Operational Coordination: Align packing priorities, labor planning, packaging procurement, cold storage, and transportation. Promote accurate inventory, lot traceability, fruit-aging controls, and cold-chain integrity. Financial Performance & Accountability: Own division-level operating budgets, forecasts, cost analysis, customer and product profitability, and performance variances; provide financial information and recommendations to the CFO. Evaluate proposed capital investments against expected returns and operational needs. Operational Standards & Leadership: Establish foundational procedures, clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and escalation processes. Coordinate managers and key personnel to achieve commercial and operating objectives. Executive Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Provide weekly updates on volume, revenue, margins, open orders, inventory, operating risks, and corrective actions. Use data to improve fulfillment, minimize loss, strengthen packaging management, and enhance customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications Approximately 7 or more years of progressive experience in produce, agricultural processing, manufacturing, commercial operations, or supply chain management, including leadership responsibility. Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, supply chain, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent substantial relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships, negotiate commercial arrangements, and balance service levels, product quality, and profitability. Experience with profit-and-loss analysis, operating budgets, financial forecasting, and performance reporting. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using warehouse management or comparable inventory systems. Practical knowledge of perishable inventory, grading, packout, packaging, logistics, and cold-chain distribution. Strong analytical judgment, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in fast-paced seasonal operations. Preferred Qualifications Direct blueberry industry experience; experience in a vertically integrated agricultural business; and an advanced degree.
