Duties The Director for Shared Services Procurement will work closely with the OAM Director in managing and executing DOC's acquisition portfolio. Duties include: Leading an innovative federal contracting model relying on process efficiencies and economies of scale Overseeing execution of competition management, acquisition planning, and business and contract strategy Complying with federal acquisition statutes, regulations, and policies Providing full life-cycle acquisition support services to stakeholders across the Department Negotiating purchasing instruments that drive the costs of supplies and services lower and/or value higher in support of public interest Creating a collaborative environment with technical, legal, finance, and acquisition representatives to achieve higher success rates Monitoring contracting activity performance and resolving problems to ensure service level agreements are met Managing the Department's strategic sourcing portfolio and optimizing it as needed to maximize return on investment Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
