Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Dirt Work Solutions LLCDirt Work Solutions, LLC is looking for a skilled Mobile Diesel and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles and machines. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality. You will be driving a service truck to our job sites to fix trucks / equipment on site. · Must have 5 years experience · Ford diesel experience preferred · Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts. · Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion. · Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics. · Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems. · Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. · Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. · Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs. · Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. · Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. · Inspecting heavy construction equipment for proper performance, and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions · Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required · Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools · Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications · Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment · Service attachments and working tools · May perform repair work on heavy trucks · This position may require travel to job sites to repair equipment on site · Some overtime may be required Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
