Diesel Mechanic – Heavy-Duty Trucks

Job Summary We are a busy vacuum tank fabrication and truck shop seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, suspension, electrical, air, hydraulic, and PTO systems. The ideal candidate works efficiently with minimal supervision and takes pride in quality repairs that keep trucks safe, reliable, and ready for service. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, fluid services, and general repairs Troubleshoot engine, drivetrain, brake, suspension, steering, and 12V electrical systems Service and repair PTO, hydraulic, air, and auxiliary truck-mounted systems Identify worn or unsafe components and complete repairs to keep trucks reliable and road-ready Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed Maintain accurate work records and a clean, safe work area Qualifications 3+ years of diesel, heavy truck, fleet, or heavy equipment repair experience Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience with diesel engines, air brakes, suspension, drivetrain, and 12V electrical systems Hydraulic and PTO experience preferred Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Ability to work independently with strong attention to quality and safety Reliable, punctual, and able to operate shop tools and equipment safely Valid driver’s license required; CDL or ASE certifications are a plus Position Benefits: At 90 Days · Dental insurance option · Health insurance option · Vision insurance option · Uniform service (optional) · Performance-based wage increases (again at 6mo, 12mo, 18mo, 2 yrs) At One Year · PTO · 401(k)/Roth option with company matching · Paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas How to Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief summary of your experience to sarah@lcmohio.com.
