Diesel Mechanic Fleet Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-minded Diesel Mechanic to join our team in the PA Stroudsburg area. Your primary mission will be to ensure our drivers stay safe on the road. You will be responsible for everything from quick lane maintenance—like changing tires and replacing oil—to conducting bumper-to-bumper vehicle safety inspections. If you have a sharp eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to preventative maintenance, we want to hear from you. Core Responsibilities Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine oil changes, replace fuel/air filters, flush fluids, and lubricate chassis components. Tire & Wheel Services: Inspect, mount, balance, rotate, and replace heavy-duty truck and trailer tires; monitor tread depths and inflation pressure. Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough bumper-to-bumper safety checks on brakes, steering, suspension, air lines, and lighting systems to guarantee roadworthiness. Diagnostics & Repairs for each truck: Use computer diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot engine fault codes, electrical glitches, and mechanical failures. Documentation for each truck: Maintain accurate, clean records of all completed inspections, parts used, and repairs made. Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of professional experience working with diesel engines, heavy trucks, or commercial fleets. Licenses: A valid Driver’s License is required. A PA State Inspection License and/or a Class A or B CDL are highly preferred. Tools: Possession of a personal set of basic hand tools and air tools suitable for heavy truck maintenance. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift to 50–75 lbs. regularly and work comfortably in a shop environment. Mindset: A strong "safety first" attitude with a high standard of accountability.
