Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Fleet Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational goals. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, forklifts, excavators, cranes, farm machinery, and industrial equipment to minimize downtime. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding and power tools to ensure optimal equipment performance. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and vehicle systems to restore full functionality. Execute tire service, wheel alignments, brake repairs, and suspension work with precision to meet safety standards. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed for compliance and future reference. Assist in heavy lifting operations and perform equipment maintenance tasks safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Skills Proven dealership or heavy equipment mechanic experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical system repair for diesel engines and vehicle systems. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of using hand tools and power tools effectively. Experience working with schematics for complex machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and heavy trucks. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery safely and efficiently. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including transmission repair, alignment adjustments, air brake systems, shocks & struts replacement. Familiarity with automotive electrical systems repair along with HVAC servicing for fleet vehicles. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and maintenance needs.
