Key Skills We're Looking For: Common Rail Fuel Systems DEF / DPF Systems Turbocharger Repair ASE Certified Diesel Diagnostics Tekmetric Engine Overhaul Brake & Suspension Drivetrain Electrical Diagnostics Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel fuel systems ; common rail, DEF/DPF, turbochargers, and fuel delivery components Perform complete B-level repairs: brakes, suspension, differentials, and drivetrain systems Complete major engine overhauls including head gaskets, timing components, and internal assemblies Operate advanced diagnostic equipment to resolve drivability, electrical, and mechanical issues Document all repairs accurately in Tekmetric shop management software Mentor junior technicians; earn additional bonus pay for developing your teammates Requirements 3+ years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience 2–4 ASE Certifications : diesel-relevant preferred (A1, A4, A5, A8, L1) Proven ability to diagnose diesel electrical and mechanical systems independently Own core toolset (specialty tools earned through our tool advancement program) Valid driver's license with clean driving record Preferred Qualifications 5+ ASE Certifications or actively working toward them Deep experience with DEF systems, DPF regeneration, and turbocharger diagnosis Familiarity with Tekmetric or similar fleet/shop management platforms Demonstrated 75%+ efficiency in a flat-rate or production-based environment Benefits $34–$40/hr base pay + performance incentives 10 paid vacation days + 10 paid holidays + 5 sick days Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid ASE certifications and ongoing diesel training, employer funded Tool advancement program , earn specialty tools through tenure Mentorship bonus opportunities Collaborative team culture, no burnout, no micromanagement About Silicon Valley Performance We're an ATI-certified independent diesel and diagnostics shop in Mountain View, CA.
