Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and related components on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections to prevent breakdowns Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues accurately Operate power tools and hand tools safely to disassemble, repair, or assemble machinery parts Conduct heavy lifting using appropriate equipment to handle large components safely during repairs or replacements Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functioning before returning it to service Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for all repairs performed Skills Proven experience or extensive mechanic background with heavy machinery and commercial engine repair Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, industrial equipment, and power tools Experience working with excavators, cranes, chasis generator, equipment, forklifts, and farm machinery Skilled in reading schematics and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently during maintenance procedures Welding would be asset to have Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients about repairs and maintenance needs This role demands a proactive approach combined with technical expertise to keep our fleet operating at peak performance.
