Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Equipment & Trucks Local Work - Home Every Night - Competitive Pay - Company Service Truck Final Grade Construction & Conservation LLC – Plattsmouth, Nebraska Final Grade Construction & Conservation is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. We’re searching for someone dependable, motivated, and capable of keeping trucks and equipment running with minimal downtime. This position includes both shop work and local field service , working on heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, trailers, and support equipment. If you’re the kind of mechanic who can diagnose issues, work independently, and take pride in fixing things right the first time, we’d like to talk with you. What We Offer Competitive pay: $30-$45/hour based on experience Full-time, year-round work Local work only — home every night Monday–Friday schedule, some Saturdays Overtime available as needed Paid Time Off (PTO) Company service truck for field repairs Steady workload with a growing company Straightforward work environment without dealership-style politics Opportunity to grow with the company Responsibilities Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment Perform shop repairs and local field service work Troubleshoot diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Complete preventative maintenance and inspections Communicate with operators and management regarding repairs and priorities Help minimize equipment downtime and keep projects moving Qualifications Experience working on diesel engines and heavy equipment required Ability to work independently and stay productive Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Good attitude and strong work ethic Class B CDL preferred for service truck operation Own tools preferred but not required Why Work Here We value mechanics who take ownership of their work and want to be part of a dependable team.
