DIESEL FLEET MECHANIC — SACRAMENTO, CA Hastie’s Capitol Sand and Gravel is a family-owned and operated business founded in Sacramento in 1941. We provide landscape and construction materials to homeowners and contractors throughout the local region. We are looking for an experienced Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our shop and help maintain and repair a fleet of 50+ dump trucks, trailers, and loaders. Position Job Title: Diesel Fleet Mechanic Location: 9350 Jackson Road, Sacramento, CA 95826 Employment Type: Full-Time Pay: $34–$44+ per hour, depending on experience Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered fleet vehicles and heavy equipment Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on dump trucks, trailers, and loaders Troubleshoot mechanical and diesel engine issues Help ensure fleet equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for operation Perform and maintain compliance with required DOT/BIT inspections Qualifications Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and/or construction equipment Familiarity with DOT/BIT inspections Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to safety and quality workmanship Benefits Hastie’s offers a competitive benefits package, including: Excellent Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance Paid Vacation 401(k) with Company Match APPLY IN PERSON Bring your experience and mechanical skills to a long-standing Sacramento family business.
