Delivery Truck Driver Class C Non-CDL

Job Description S&S Builders Hardware Co. is a locally owned and operated company that supplies doors, frames, and hardware for the construction industry throughout Central, IL. We are looking for a delivery truck driver to serve our delivery needs in a safe and timely manner. No overnight travel required--all deliveries are conducted within an 8-hour workday. Hourly pay can vary based on candidate qualifications and previous experience. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and be insurable. Responsibilities Operate a box truck, pickup truck, and van as required to make deliveries Transport finished goods to customers Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log deliveries Comply with state and federal laws and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Assist with loading and unloading of materials Greet the customer with a smile and promote a good image for the company Education & Experience · High school diploma or GED required · Current Class C Non-CDL & DOT Medical Card Skills Valid driver's license Physically able to perform job-related tasks including lifting and handling of material Ability to safely and effectively operate trucks Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.) Job Types: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) with company matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Paid training Vision insurance Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Language: English (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Ability to Commute: Peoria, IL 61615 (Required) Work Location: In person
