Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker
DSE Electric Inc.Job Summary As a Delivery Driver at DSE Electric, Inc., you will play a critical role in supporting jobsite productivity by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tools, materials, and equipment. You will represent the company in the field and be responsible for safe transport, proper handling, and clear communication with both the office and field teams. This role requires a proactive, safety-conscious individual with strong organizational skills and a customer-service mindset. Key Responsibilities: Material & Equipment Delivery Pick up and deliver electrical supplies, tools, equipment and jobsite consumables to and from various vendors, the warehouse and job sites. Verify accuracy of delivery contents against packing slips or purchase orders. Job Site Coordination Communicate with warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules. Ensure items are delivered to the correct locations on job sites. Vehicle & Safety Compliance Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain clean, safe vehicle conditions. Comply with all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations and driving standards. Secure all loads properly and safely using tie-downs or protective equipment. Keep delivery vehicles clean, fueled, and properly maintained. Use proper lifting techniques and PPE when handling heavy materials. Report on any mechanical issues promptly. Comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the DSE Driver Safety Manual, including safe driving practices, vehicle inspections, and incident reporting requirements. Documentation & Communication Maintain delivery logs, obtain signatures, and track materials as required. Ensure proper documentation is submitted for completed deliveries (delivery receipts, time logs, etc.). Communicate with warehouse, field staff, and purchasing team regarding delays, shortages, or changes in deliveries. Report damaged or missing items immediately and assist with resolving discrepancies. General Duties Assist with loading and unloading of materials at the warehouse or jobsites. Support warehouse staff in organizing materials and maintaining inventory when not on delivery runs. Deliver urgent materials to support field productivity, especially on fast-paced or time sensitive projects. Core Competencies Strong knowledge of basic construction materials, tools, and electrical equipment. Reliable and punctual with a commitment to jobsite service. Professional and courteous when interacting with vendors, coworkers, and jobsite personnel. Excellent road safety and defensive driving skills. Ability to follow delivery schedules and adapt to route changes as needed. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical work throughout the day. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record. 1-2 years of experience in a delivery, warehouse or logistics role. Familiarly with jobsite safety practices and basic load securement techniques. Forklift certification preferred. Ability to navigate GPS and delivery management apps effectively.
