Delivery Driver (Part-Time)

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Driver / Courier to deliver products safely and on time while supporting our Shipping and Receiving department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys driving, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is willing to assist with shipping and warehouse tasks as needed. Employment Type: Part-time, non-benefit eligible Schedule: Monday–Friday, with anticipated hours of approximately 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (typically 25–29 hours per week). Actual hours and scheduling may vary based on business needs, so flexibility is required. Responsibilities Safely load, transport, and deliver products to customer locations using company vehicles. Provide professional customer service and ensure timely, accurate deliveries. Follow assigned routes, look for ways to improve route efficiency, and proactively communicate delays, route changes, or other delivery concerns. Monitor vehicle condition, report mechanical issues, and coordinate routine maintenance as needed. Assist with shipping and receiving, including checking product quality, preparing shipments, verifying documentation, and confirming deliveries. Follow company safety and quality procedures, environmental requirements, traffic laws, and applicable local, state, federal, and DOT regulations. Maintain the confidentiality of company and customer information and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license, good driving record, and eligibility under OEC's insurance policy. Strong customer service and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow instructions, read addresses, and navigate routes using maps or GPS/smartphone technology. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, and basic math skills. Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safe driving practices. General knowledge of the surrounding Wisconsin and Illinois areas preferred. Physical Requirements Routinely lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds, including large or awkwardly sized items. Meet the general vision and hearing requirements of the position.
