Delivery Driver for supermarket

Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver with a clean driving record to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle various delivery tasks. Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of goods. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining signatures as needed. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during the delivery process. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading tasks. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including organizing inventory and managing stock levels. Experience Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Familiarity with courier services, moving logistics, or route driving is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with delivery duties.
