Delivery Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Build strong relationships with clients through professional communication and attentive service. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for organizational efficiency. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or automobile transportation. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, measurements, and basic accounting tasks. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, client communication, and team coordination. Knowledge of DOT regulations, heavy lifting techniques, and safe lifting practices. Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation. Demonstrated ability in sales-oriented roles with a focus on upselling opportunities. Organizational skills to manage schedules, route planning, and documentation effectively.
