Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent damage or injury. Communicate clearly with clients to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and foster positive relationships. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while organizing daily tasks for maximum efficiency. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance. Experience Prior experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is highly desirable. Retail store experience or merchandising background helps in understanding product placement and presentation. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, route planning, and inventory management. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow organizational procedures diligently. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to commercial truck driving is preferred. Proven customer service experience with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse clients.
