Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Deliver goods promptly to retail stores, clients, and other designated locations while maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Conduct route driving with precision, optimizing delivery paths for efficiency and timeliness. Engage with customers professionally to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and build positive relationships. Assist with merchandising tasks at retail locations, including product placement and inventory management. Handle heavy lifting and automobile transportation tasks responsibly, ensuring safety at all times. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales outcomes. Maintain clear communication with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on routes. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving or route delivery roles; retail store experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of driving laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices. Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations and inventory counts. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during deliveries. Organizational skills to manage routes, schedules, and documentation accurately. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory depending on the vehicle type.
