Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to deliver freight and packages across designated routes. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of cargo. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify safety standards and identify any mechanical issues requiring attention. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit. Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle performance and safety. Maintain accurate delivery logs, freight documentation, and vehicle inspection records. Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure a secure working environment. Skills Proven experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics operations. Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor vehicle issues. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and interacting with customers professionally. Physical stamina to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks efficiently. Familiarity with safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation. Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving operational challenges quickly.
