This role supports equipment and material deliveries throughout Victoria and the surrounding region and requires a safety-focused operator who is confident with crane setup, rigging, load placement, and customer service on active construction sites. Roles and Responsibilities: The Crane Truck Operator / Delivery Driver is responsible for safely operating All Source Rentals' 322 knuckleboom crane truck to transport, load, unload, and place rental equipment and materials at customer and construction sites. The role combines professional Class 1 driving with safe, competent operation of a truck-mounted folding-boom crane. The operator is expected to assess each lift before work begins, confirm crane capacity using the applicable load chart, establish a safe setup area, deploy outriggers or stabilizers as required, inspect rigging and lifting devices, and complete lifts within the manufacturer's operating limits and company procedures. The position also supports yard and dispatch operations through load staging, load securement, equipment inspections, delivery documentation, and clear communication with customers, site personnel, and the All Source Rentals team. Key Responsibilities Include: Safely operate the company 322 knuckleboom crane truck for deliveries, pickups, loading, unloading, and material placement Drive Class 1 commercial vehicles to and from customer and construction sites in a safe, timely, and professional manner Complete required pre-trip, post-trip, and daily crane inspections; identify and report defects before operation Assess lift locations for access, ground conditions, overhead hazards, clearances, power lines, and other site-specific risks Interpret crane load charts and confirm load weight, boom configuration, working radius, and available crane capacity before each lift Set up the crane safely, including proper positioning and deployment of outriggers/stabilizers, mats, or blocking as required Select, inspect, and use appropriate slings, hooks, chains, lifting devices, tag lines, and other rigging for the load being handled Load, unload, secure, and transport equipment and materials in accordance with company procedures and applicable commercial transport requirements Coordinate with dispatch, yard staff, customers, and site personnel regarding delivery timing, access, lift locations, and safe placement Inspect rental equipment at pickup and delivery to confirm condition, quantity, and accuracy, and document any damage or concerns Complete delivery tickets, driver logs, inspection records, and other required documentation; use company software (e.g., Sirius) for job tracking and record keeping Maintain the truck, crane, rigging, and assigned equipment in clean and serviceable condition and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns Assist with yard staging, organization, loading, and preparation of equipment for dispatch when required Follow WorkSafeBC requirements, transportation regulations, company safe-work procedures, and manufacturer operating instructions at all times…
