Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Deliver goods promptly to retail stores, clients, or designated locations while maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Use excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers, building positive relationships and addressing their needs effectively. Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths, ensuring timely deliveries, and adjusting for traffic or unforeseen delays. Conduct heavy lifting and merchandising tasks with proper techniques to prevent injury and ensure product integrity. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to maximize revenue opportunities. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation, with a valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations to ensure safe and compliant operations. Basic math skills for calculating pricing, weights, and measurements accurately. Experience in retail store environments or customer service roles that involve client communication and relationship building. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices; physical stamina is essential. Excellent organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and documentation efficiently.
