Wilcox NewspapersNewspaper Delivery Driver (Independent Contractor) Pay: $150–$300 per issue, per route Schedule: Thursday mornings Position type: 1099 independent contractor Wilcox Newspapers is seeking dependable delivery drivers as we transform our Monthly Shopper publications into three community newspapers published every other week. Delivery areas Huron Valley: Highland, Milford, Hartland, White Lake, East Brighton, and New Hudson Lakes: Commerce, Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake, Sylvan Lake, Walled Lake, West Bloomfield, Wixom, and Wolverine Lake Waterford: Waterford, Dixie Highway, and Union Lake Responsibilities Drivers begin by picking up the newspapers at our printing plant on Holly Road in Grand Blanc, then deliver them to 100–200 local businesses along one or more of 10 established routes. Routes average about 3,000 newspapers. Thursday morning deliveries end when the assigned route is complete. Pay varies by route. Requirements Reliable transportation A valid U.S. driver’s license Ability to follow a delivery schedule and meet deadlines No experience is required. Previous delivery experience is a plus. This is a route-based 1099 independent contractor position. Contractors are not employees and are not eligible for employee benefits. The commitment is limited to completing the assigned route deliveries.
