Delivery Driver

Job Summary Looking for a driving job that does not involve meeting delivery quotas or moving very heavy pallets and/or packages? Our drivers deliver light fixtures to new home construction sites in Oregon and Washington. Many of these sites are located in some of the most beautiful areas including the Columbia Gorge; Wine Country, and the gorgeous west side between Portland and the coast. This is an enjoyable job and does not involve the “fast pace” or requirement to meet quotas like other companies require. Our drivers average about ten stops per day. The Distribution Center our drivers operate from is located at 2700 NW Front Ave in Portland. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Some days could go later than 3:30 depending on that day’s route. On days that route ends early drivers generally work in warehouse. The job requirements involved with this position are as follows: *Candidate must have at least nine years experience driving a motor vehicle with at least 1 year of experience driving a box van. *Candidate must have no accidents or violations for the last three years. Major violations or accidents prior to three years may disqualify candidate. *A post job offer Background Check and Drug Screen will be conducted. *Candidate must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds. *Candidate must be able to use smart phone functions, including email, texting, GPS. Regarding hours worked; the schedule of this position is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Because the daily workloads are inconsistent drivers may have routes that go past the normal quitting time and routes that end before normal quitting time. On routes that end early the driver may be required to work in the warehouse performing tasks such as order picking, packing, etc. Generally this wont happen but it is a possibility. All drivers will only work Monday-Friday but there will be a requirement to work the first or second weekend of January every year to assist with Year-end Inventory. This happens once a year.
