Delivery Driver

FedEx Delivery Driver Company: FedEx Ground Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time available Location Type: On-site - local delivery routes Pay Range: Typically $20 - $27 Job Summary A FedEx Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery and pickup of packages to residential and business customers on an assigned route. This role is the face of FedEx - providing excellent customer service while meeting strict safety and delivery standards. Essential Responsibilities Delivery & Pickup: Load, organize, and deliver packages of all sizes (up to 150 lbs with assistance) to homes and businesses. Obtain signatures and follow delivery instructions. Safe Driving: Operate a FedEx delivery vehicle (sprinter van, box truck, or step van) in a safe and lawful manner at all times. Obey all traffic laws and FedEx safety policies. Route Management: Plan and follow the most efficient delivery route using FedEx scanners / GPS technology. Meet daily delivery quotas and time commitments. Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions about deliveries, and resolve delivery issues. Handle packages with care. Vehicle & Equipment: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Report maintenance needs. Keep vehicle clean and fueled. Compliance & Documentation: Scan and track all packages accurately using the FedEx handheld device . Maintain accurate delivery records Requirements & Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old Valid driver's license with clean driving record - no major violations in last 3 years 1+ year of commercial driving or delivery experience preferred, but not required Must be able to pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical Must be authorized to work in the U.S. High School Diploma or GED Skills Strong time management and ability to work independently Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to navigate using maps / GPS and handle technology (handheld scanner) Problem-solving under pressure - weather, traffic, and customer issues Physical Requirements This is a very physical, fast-paced job: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with assistance / dolly Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb in and out of vehicle for 8-10+ hours Ability to work in all weather conditions Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and during peak season (November - January) Pay: $180.00 - $220.00 per day Benefits: Paid training Work Location: In person
