Delivery Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while optimizing fuel and time resources. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, practicing safe lifting practices for heavy items. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, addressing questions or concerns professionally to foster strong customer relationships. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales revenue. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation, with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating large or heavy vehicles. Knowledge of route driving, merchandising, and retail store operations is a plus. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, basic accounting tasks, and inventory management. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Familiarity with DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safe driving practices. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in retail store environments or customer service roles is advantageous.
