Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dealership Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this vital role, you will oversee inventory management, supplier relationships, and parts procurement to ensure seamless operations. Your leadership will drive efficiency, optimize parts sourcing, and enhance customer satisfaction through effective parts administration and logistics management. Responsibilities Manage the entire parts inventory, including sourcing, ordering, and controlling stock levels using inventory management systems such as ERP or AS400. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure the best value for the dealership. Oversee procurement processes, including demand planning, parts sourcing, and purchasing to meet service needs efficiently. Coordinate logistics for shipping & receiving, warehousing, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge and mechanical understanding to assist with parts identification and compatibility issues. Supervise warehouse operations ensuring safety standards are met while maintaining accurate data entry for inventory records. Collaborate with internal departments such as automotive service, auto body repair, and sales to ensure timely parts availability and customer satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, supplier management, or automotive parts management within a dealership or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP systems, CMMS) and order management systems like AS400. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, OEM parts sourcing, and auto body repair processes. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, procurement management, demand planning, and pricing strategies. Mechanical knowledge of automotive parts & accessories along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for reporting and data analysis. Valid forklift certification preferred; experience with warehouse management and logistics inventory control is essential. Excellent internal communication skills coupled with customer service orientation to support dealership operations effectively.
