DC Planning Lead
Reliance Worldwide CorporationPosition Overview: The DC Planning Lead is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily flow of workload throughout the Distribution Center to support efficient operations, inventory accuracy, labor utilization, and on-time order fulfillment. This role serves as a liaison between warehouse operations, inventory control, and leadership to ensure inbound, storage, replenishment, and outbound activities are executed effectively. The Planning Lead monitors workload priorities, inventory movement, operational performance, and labor allocation while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining a safe work environment. Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Utilize and maintain daily workload schedules to support distribution center operations. Monitor inbound receipts, replenishment activities, inventory movement, and outbound order requirements to ensure efficient workflow. Coordinate and work with Warehouse Leads and Supervisors to optimize labor allocation and workload distribution. Monitor replenishment tasks and inventory availability to support order fulfillment requirements. Ensure customer orders are processed and shipped according to planned ship dates and service expectations. Analyze operational data, productivity metrics, and fulfillment performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Create and distribute operational reports, workload updates, and planning dashboards as required. Communicate operational priorities, schedule changes, and workload concerns to leadership and team members. Support shipping, receiving, replenishment, inventory control, and order fulfillment activities as needed. Assist with the training and development of team members on planning processes, systems, and operational procedures. Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and customer service. Perform other duties as assigned. Coordinate with Customer Service, Transportation, and Purchasing to meet service expectations Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Expertise: Leadership and communication ability both verbally and in writing. Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to understand and learn all distribution processes, policies, and procedures Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Certified on all PIT equipment used at the distribution site This position requires the individual to be able to work in a distribution/warehouse environment where temperatures can reach > 90 degrees Must be available to work any shift, weekends, and/or overtime as required. Be able to lift 50 pounds consistently. Ability to stand for up to 12 hours. Routinely walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist. Requirments : High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred. Two (2) years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, inventory, or planning experience preferred. Previous lead or leadership experience preferred. Experience working with SAP, ERP, WMS, or similar warehouse systems.
