The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Role Summary The Data Warehouse & BI Engineer supports Corning’s manufacturing environment by leading the design, development, and delivery of data warehouse, reporting, and analytics solutions that drive operational visibility and business decision-making. This role is responsible for the full solution lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture and design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. This is a hands-on role for a technically strong professional who can work across business and technology teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable, and high-value solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in data warehousing, SQL development, ETL, and reporting, along with a passion for building data solutions that support manufacturing operations, improve performance, and enable informed decisions. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of data warehouse, reporting, and analytics solutions, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, implementation, and support. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality data warehouse and business intelligence solutions that support manufacturing and enterprise priorities. Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand requirements, define solution approaches, and deliver impactful data and reporting capabilities. Develop and maintain T-SQL procedures, functions, queries, and scripts to support data integration, reporting, and analytics needs. Design, build, and support ETL processes for the intake and transformation of data from manufacturing and other enterprise systems. Research, analyze, and troubleshoot data issues, stored procedures, and associated SSRS or Power BI reports. Collaborate with the DBA team to assess server health, database performance, and query optimization opportunities; recommend and implement improvements such as indexing and query tuning. Develop and support data migration procedures and scripts as needed for project and operational initiatives. Contribute to the development and ongoing evolution of data warehouse architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with best practices. Ensure data warehouse and analytics code is maintained in version control and developed in accordance with SDLC standards. Support operationally critical work and project timelines, including flexibility to work hours needed for global support when required.
