Dairy Queen Assistant Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to lead our team and oversee daily store operations. This role is vital in ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and fostering a positive team environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for management. As a Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining store performance, supervising staff, and implementing strategies to meet business goals. Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing to optimize product presentation and availability. Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions, and performance evaluations to build a skilled team. Handle recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates, managing onboarding processes, and ensuring proper staffing levels. Supervise cashiering activities, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budget management to maintain operational efficiency. Implement sales management strategies, monitor retail math metrics, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Report to General Manager Skills Excellent communication skills in both managerial communication and phone etiquette to foster team collaboration and customer engagement. Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and operational tools such as purchasing and cash handling systems. Demonstrated leadership in managing operations including shift management, merchandising and stock control Skilled in employee orientation, training & development initiatives to enhance team performance. Basic math skills essential for math calculations related to sales tracking, budgeting, and inventory valuation. Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
