What You'll Do Own the Customs Entry Prepare, review, and file accurate customs entries with CBP so imported shipments get released and cleared on time. Dig into shipment documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other required docs) and make sure everything checks out. Spot missing or inaccurate info before it slows down clearance, and get discrepancies resolved. Input and transmit accurate shipment and entry data to CBP and other government agencies. Keep every entry in line with CBP regulations, PGA requirements, customer instructions, and company procedures. Be the go-to for customers on customs inquiries, entry rejections, post-entry amendments, refund requests, and other brokerage matters. Flag compliance concerns, discrepancies, and non-routine transactions and escalate when needed. Keep Freight Moving and Customers in the Loop Run point on your assigned customers' shipments from entry prep through clearance, delivery, and billing. Respond quickly to customer questions with updates on shipment status, documentation needs, and clearance issues. Track and trace shipments, and get ahead of delays, exceptions, and anything else that could hold up clearance or delivery. Coordinate transportation and delivery of imported freight once it's released by customs. Get to know your customers' requirements and service expectations inside and out. Close Out Every File Cleanly Handle accurate reporting and billing for your assigned files. Make sure every charge and service is captured so billing goes out on time. Keep customer records, entry documentation, databases, and reports accurate and up to date. Organize your files so you have full visibility at every stage of the entry process. Maintain complete, accurate files from first document to final billing. Be a Team Player Across the Supply Chain Work with customers, carriers, transportation providers, and internal teams to keep shipments moving efficiently. Protect data integrity in line with customer SOPs, company policies, and government regulations. Help solve documentation issues, shipment exceptions, and customer concerns. Spot recurring issues or process gaps and bring your recommendations to management. ________________________________________ What You Bring A sharp eye for detail plus strong organizational and multitasking skills. You can juggle multiple files, shifting priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Solid judgment and problem-solving skills: you evaluate information, catch discrepancies, keep things compliant, and know when an issue or non-routine transaction needs to go up the chain. Strong customer service and communication skills. You anticipate what customers need, bring solutions, and communicate professionally with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal teams. An ownership mindset. You take charge of your shipments and accounts, work independently, follow established procedures, and see every issue through to resolution.
