Salary Range: $18.50 – $21.28 – $24.47
A Crisis Operations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring timely distribution of dispatch requests from all contracted hospitals to crisis counselors, coordination of patient transfer from the current hospital facility, and communication with outside agencies to provide the appropriate level of care for each client.

Communication must be professional, clear, calm, and sensitive at all times

Typing by touch skills are necessary in order to properly document
Customer service and/or crisis background, maintain email etiquette, must be able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a growing team

Answer all calls in a timely and professional manner
Distribute dispatch requests to crisis counselors fairly and in a timely manner
Distribute patient referral packets to receiving facilities via electronic fax as needed
Address customer concerns in a professional manner
Communicate with team members, other internal staff, and outside sources to ensure the best coordination of care for each individual
Complete follow up on transfer board regularly throughout each shift
Update hospital staff regarding status of patient transfer regularly throughout each shift
Documentation of all coordination
Gather new client demographic information and document accurately in the appropriate format
Assess callers for danger to self/danger to others and determine the appropriate course of action
Conduct screens for new, or existing, clients to help get them scheduled and/or connected with appropriate services
Adhere to HIPAA privacy and confidentiality regulations and guidelines
Other duties as assigned
Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree preferred
Qualify as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
