Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers across designated OTR routes. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize time and fuel consumption. Load and unload freight with precision, ensuring cargo is secured properly according to logistics cargo handling standards. Comply with all FMCSA, DOT, hazardous materials (Hazmat), and dangerous goods regulations during transportation and delivery processes. Handle manual tasks such as manual transmission driving, manual handling of cargo, and truck loading/unloading procedures. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or route adjustments while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in delivery driving or freight transportation, especially with commercial truck driving or over-the-road (OTR) routes. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not mandatory for certain roles. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Experience operating refrigerated trailers or specialized equipment such as flatbeds or tankers is a plus. Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and perform manual handling tasks safely. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Excellent physical condition to load/unload freight and perform routine vehicle inspections.
