Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to deliver packages across designated routes. Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safe lifting practices during all driving and handling activities. Ensure accurate delivery documentation and maintain detailed logs of routes, deliveries, and pickups. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams via mobile devices to confirm delivery statuses or report issues. Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including moving goods within the facility using manual handling equipment. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring deliveries are made promptly and professionally, addressing any questions or concerns courteously. Experience Previous delivery driver experience or courier roles preferred; familiarity with route driving is a plus. Warehouse experience including material handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices. Commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license; proficiency in operating box trucks or vans with manual transmission is advantageous. Knowledge of warehouse operations, including the use of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Ability to adhere to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and workplace safety standards related to weight handling and vehicle operation.
