Corporate Expediting Manager Telework Type: Hybrid Work Schedule Work Location: Houston, TX / Reston, VA Position Summary Based in either the Houston, TX or Reston, VA office, the Corporate Expediting Manager provides enterprise-wide functional leadership and strategic direction for expediting activities across the Company’s Global Business Units (GBUs). The role focuses on strengthening supplier performance, improving delivery predictability, mitigating supply-related schedule risks, and influencing business decisions that support successful project execution. The Corporate Expediting Manager establishes and promotes consistent expediting practices, standards, processes, and performance expectations in alignment with Supplier Quality & Expediting (SQE), GBU, and project procedures. Job Dimensions A. Supervision Received Receives operational direction and strategic guidance regarding expediting strategies from the SQE Vice President and Corporate Manager of Supplier Quality and Expediting. Receives functional guidance from the SQE Corporate Operations Manager and, as applicable, SQE Regional Managers. Works collaboratively with corporate and GBU leadership to establish priorities, address delivery risks, and drive continuous improvement in expediting performance. B. Supervision Exercised Provides functional leadership, direction, and guidance to Project Expediting (PEX) and Area Expediting (AEX) teams. Provides project-related guidance and support to expediting personnel to ensure consistent execution of corporate standards and project requirements. Supports the development of expediting capabilities, competencies, and best practices across the organization. C. Contacts Maintains regular communication and collaboration with: Project leadership teams and regional office functional managers. GBU functional managers and SQE leadership. Project expediting and supplier quality teams. Engineering, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Construction, Project Controls, and Logistics personnel. Area Supplier Quality Supervisors and Regional Managers. Other internal and external stakeholders as required to improve supplier performance, delivery assurance, and project schedule outcomes. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Functional Leadership: Establishes corporate direction, standards, expectations, and best practices for expediting activities across GBUs and projects. Supplier Performance Management: Leverages expediting activities to strengthen supplier accountability, improve delivery discipline, and drive effective recovery plans. Delivery Risk Management: Proactively identifies potential schedule threats, emerging supplier performance issues, and late-delivery trends, driving early intervention to minimize project impacts. Data-Driven Decision Making: Translates supplier performance data, workload forecasts, dashboards, and expediting metrics into actionable business insights and recommendations. Cross-Functional Alignment: Facilitates collaboration among Procurement, Supplier Quality, Logistics, Project Controls, Engineering, Construction, and project teams to achieve shared delivery objectives. Project Supplier Quality & Expediting Alignment: Strengthens coordination between project expediting and project supplier quality teams to improve efficiency, supplier performance, and delivery assurance. Executive Communication and Influence: Communicates supplier risks, delivery priorities, performance trends, and recommended actions clearly and effectively to GBU and corporate leadership. Resource and Capability Planning: Aligns AEX/PEX staffing, workload distribution, training, and competency development with project requirements, supplier risk, and business demand.
