Construction Site Coordinator

We’re looking for a Site Coordinator to join our Construction team. You will work directly with Site Supervisors and engage in coordination and administration activities to assist in the effective construction of ongoing projects in pre-construction, construction, and warranty stages. You will coordinate personnel on project sites, manage incoming deliveries, schedule work activities with labourers, and handle general site administration. Key Qualifications · High school diploma · 2-4 years of experience in construction, ideally as a site coordinator · Knowledge of scheduling concepts (i.e. milestones, Gantt charts, etc.) · Knowledge of construction plans, building layouts, etc. · Knowledge of the BC Building Code and municipal building bylaws an asset · Strong team leadership skills · Strong organizational skills · Strong oral and written communication skills in English · Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Windows, Office, and other applications · Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools including skill saws, miter saws, and jigsaws Key Duties Follows pre-construction process · Participates in project start-up meetings to communicate schedules, create mutual goals, and establish guidelines and communication rhythm · Participates in site setup meetings · Assists with site setup · Follows construction process · Oversees site construction from start-to-finish, ensuring that site coordinators, labourers, and trades execute their duties on · Assists with site setup · Participates in project-related meetings · Participates in site walkthroughs and checklists · Coordinates with site coordinators, labourers, and trades to address all deficiencies · Oversees site coordinator to ensure that labourers are providing general labour, materials management, and clean-up as required · Coordinates with the site safety officer (CSO) to ensure that WorkSafeBC practices are followed · Addresses and/or escalates issues accordingly (i.e. site problems/delays, challenges with trades, failed inspections, safety incidents, etc.) Job Types: Full-time, Contract Contract length: 8 months Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress Dental care Extended health care On-site parking Vision care Work Location: In person
