Lockheed MartinStandard Job Description Lockheed Martin Space, Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program, is seeking an Associate Electrical Component Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO. You will assist in the performance of Electrical Component (Parts) Engineering, development and execution of the program Electrical Electronic Electromechanical and Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts management plan. You will assist in evaluating new technologies and work closely with more senior component engineers, survivability, designers, test and manufacturing engineers, agencies like DLA, Part Manufacturers and Test Labs. You’ll use your education, experience and growing expertise to develop and evaluate new and innovative technology to survive in the harshest of environments and most critical strategic systems. In this role you will: Assist in Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical / Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture and test. Assist in the selection, qualification, test and failure analysis of EEEE Parts. Assist in preparing technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization. Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors. Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product performance requirements. Conducts or participates in the selection, evaluation, qualification, testing and failure analysis of Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical and Electro-optical (EEEE) Components. Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates the preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met. Prepares EEEE Component Source Control Drawings (SCDs), evaluates vendors and analyzes EEEE Component test reports. The Component Engineer is responsible for the oversight of Subcontractor EEEE Components, generating/reviewing/approving Non-Standard Part Approval Requests (NSPARs) at Parts, Materials and Process Control Board (PMPCB) meetings, reviewing and approving engineering drawings and SCDs, participating/leading PMP issue resolutions and assisting/leading failure analysis under the EEEE Components domain. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related technical field Formal coursework, training, experience and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, semiconductor physics and/or operation of devices such as hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitors Basic knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and processes used in EEEE Ability/Willingness to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance parts Desired Skills Familiarity with technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.) Active DoD Secret clearance or higher Basic understanding of Nuclear effects on EEEE parts and demonstrated ability to work closely with Survivability Engineers in strategic Rad Hard applications Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements Basic understanding of worst-case analysis (WCA) / EEEE parts derating and end of life requirements Experience or knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysis and/or root cause and corrective action analysis related to EEE parts Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $65500.00 - $121700.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
