ConfidentialJob Overview We are seeking a motivated and reliable Company Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across various over-the-road (OTR) routes. Your expertise in truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and exceptional route management will ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Plan and execute efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured correctly for transport. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Manage logistics cargo handling, including verifying shipment documentation and inspecting loads for safety and accuracy. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Complete all required logs, incident reports, and delivery documentation accurately and promptly. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving on over-the-road (OTR) routes. Familiarity with truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to truck driving. Experience with manual transmission trucks and automobile transportation is preferred. Demonstrated ability to navigate using GPS navigation systems effectively during route driving. Prior experience in freight transportation involving tractor-trailers or similar large vehicles is highly desirable.
