What We Are Looking For SIRE is seeking an experienced Commodities Support Specialist to support our team. The Commodities Support Specialist serves as the first point of contact for inbound and outbound traffic, working directly with customers to keep grain receiving and product shipping running smoothly. Responsibilities include weighing all trucks entering and leaving the plant, directing drivers to the proper loading and unloading locations, and reviewing tickets for accuracy and grain grades. The role also handles data entry and quality control and provides coverage for multiple positions within the commodities department. This position works closely with other departments to make sure information is passed along timely and accurately, helping SIRE continue to operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate provides excellent customer service, multitasks efficiently, solves problems, and stays detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment. This position will work various shifts between 6:00a-6:00p M-F (occasional Saturdays) as it is a trainer/fill-in position. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties 1. Review tickets for accuracy and grades on grain delivered to SIRE. 2. Weigh all trucks coming into and leaving the plant and directing trucks to the proper location for loading/unloading within the plant. 3. Scanning of contracts and slips in a timely manner. 4. Enter customer and product data into accounting software. 5. Keeping the area around the probe house and scale house clean and presentable at all times. 6. Document SOP contents for areas as it develops. 7. Provide excellent customer service. 8. Maintain frequent and effective communications with all departments. 9. Provide support to the scale house, probe house, and the commodities department. 10. Responsible for training all positions assigned to the scale and probe house. 11. Other duties may be assigned to accomplish the safe and timely operations within the plant. 12. Wear personal protective equipment as required. Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work extended hours as needed. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in grain receiving preferred.
