Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely and efficiently across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, while ensuring compliance with all safety and transportation regulations. As a CDL Truck Driver, you will be the vital link in our logistics chain, responsible for transporting goods over the road (OTR), managing cargo handling, and providing exceptional delivery service to our clients. Your expertise in driving and logistics will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and excellence in freight delivery. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers on over-the-road routes while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across diverse locations. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Manage logistics cargo handling for various types of freight such as hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, or specialty loads like automobile transportation. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checks on manual transmission systems and trailer conditions. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, cargo manifests, inspection reports, and compliance logs related to hazardous materials regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate route driving schedules, delivery times, and any unforeseen issues on the road. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across long-distance routes. Prior experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks, or specialty equipment is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, hazard materials regulations, and safe truck loading/unloading procedures. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently. Experience with route driving that involves delivery driving skills and managing logistics cargo handling under tight schedules. Valid CDL license with necessary endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker loads, or other specialized freight as required by state or federal law. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to dangerous goods transportation and truck loading/unloading procedures.
