Commercial Movers IncJob Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely and efficiently across various routes. Your role will involve operating tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trucks, while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmission, across long-distance OTR routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules and optimize route driving performance Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated cargo, flatbed loads, tanker liquids, or automobile transportation with precision and care Perform routine inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before trips Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation following FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any unforeseen issues during transit Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery, including route driving and delivery driver experience Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operation, flatbed hauling, tanker transport, or automobile transportation is highly desirable Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures along with logistics cargo handling techniques Valid CDL license with endorsements relevant to the type of freight transported (e.g., Hazmat endorsement preferred) Demonstrated understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods Experience operating trucks with manual transmission and utilizing GPS navigation for route planning and execution Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety standards for hazardous materials and heavy cargo Join us in delivering excellence on every mile!
