In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently across various routes. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers—including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, roll-off truck, and freight loads—will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Handle a variety of trailer types, including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to accommodate diverse delivery needs. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while managing route driving responsibilities effectively. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred. Proven truck driving experience, particularly in commercial driving environments involving freight delivery. Familiarity with operating various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or other equipment when required. Knowledge of route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery schedules. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to tractor-trailer operation and freight handling. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
