Duties Safely operate CDL A trucks to transport freight over long or short distances according to scheduled routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation. Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation activities. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered. Adhere to scheduled routes with a focus on punctuality, ensuring delivery deadlines are met. Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the truck throughout shifts. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record. Proven experience as a commercial truck driver preferred but not mandatory; training provided for qualified candidates. Ability to operate heavy-duty trucks safely and efficiently. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving. Excellent communication skills and professionalism when interacting with clients and team members. Physical ability to load/unload cargo and perform vehicle inspections as needed. Commitment to safety standards and company policies. Willingness to work flexible hours with the benefit of being home every weekend.
