Job Overview Schmuhl Brothers Inc is hiring CDL Class A company drivers for intermodal hauling in and around the Kansas City Area. Drivers also haul the midwest area, with the choice to do over the road loads, or home daily. Our drivers handle a mix of intermodal and flatbed freight, including pickups and deliveries at Kansas City rail yards, depots and customer locations. Drivers also make regional runs throughout Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma and surrounding areas. Most drivers are home daily, with opportunities for occasional longer runs. This is not the same route everyday - our drivers handle a variety of freight and runs based on customer needs and appointment times. We are looking for drivers who are reliable safety-focused, flexable and able to communicate well. Intermodal and/or Flatbed experiance is required. Hazmat/Tanker endorcements is preferred but not required. Apply online on our website www.schmuhlbrothers.com and click apply now What Our Drivers Do Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA Pick up and deliver containers from Kansas City Rail yards and depots Drop & Hook runs Optional OTR work avalability for drivers who want additioanl miles Dispatch is based around customer and rail appointment times Company owned chassis Transport various types of freight including hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, refrigerated items, flatbed loads, or tanker shipments Manage delivery driving tasks by loading, securing, and delivering freight to designated locations on time Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure safety and compliance with trucking standardsRequirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving Pay: $1,650.00 - $2,000.00 per week Benefits: AD&D insurance Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
