Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Transport freight using route driving techniques across OTR routes, ensuring on-time delivery of goods such as freight, hazardous materials, or specialized cargo. Load and unload cargo manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo while adhering to safety protocols. Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes, monitor traffic conditions, and ensure timely deliveries. Handle refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized equipment for automobile transportation and dangerous goods with precision. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Comply with all safety policies related to hazardous materials regulations and manual handling procedures during loading/unloading processes. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across diverse terrains. Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operation, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling. Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time traffic updates. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations governing commercial trucking operations. Skilled in truck loading and unloading techniques for freight handling—flatbed loads, tanker loads, or automobile transportation as required. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety; experience with over-the-road (OTR) routes preferred. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks necessary for load & unload activities; capable of managing logistics cargo handling safely.
