Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, to deliver freight efficiently and reliably. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with a CDL A license, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers across designated routes. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper cargo handling according to logistics cargo handling standards. Navigate using GPS systems accurately to reach delivery destinations on time while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Deliver freight efficiently along route driving schedules, including over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries. Secure loads properly for transportation, especially when handling hazardous or dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct routine truck inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery statuses, or unforeseen delays. Follow all safety protocols related to truck loading/unloading, manual handling, and hazardous materials management to ensure a safe working environment. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across various terrains. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and hazardous materials transportation is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations is essential. Experience with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution. Prior experience in load & unload operations and logistics cargo handling preferred. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently; experience with manual handling is a plus.
