Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission , ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload freight using proper manual handling techniques. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and safety. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify potential safety issues or damages. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in compliance with regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials regulations. Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely and efficiently during load & unload operations. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazard communication standards, and DOT compliance requirements. Experience operating trucks with manual transmission preferred. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for route planning.
